Domaine de Chanssaud

In 1995 a modern winery was opened. With a capacity of 2,500 Hl for vinification and 700 Hl for storage in underground tanks, it has equipment that allows vinification in the best conditions.

The vineyard covers 35 Ha, including 14 Ha of Châteauneuf du Pape and 21 Ha of Côtes du Rhône.

Among the 13 grape varieties that make up our denomination, Garnacha, Syrah and Mourvèdre for red wines and Garnacha blanca and Clairette for white wines are the majority.

The old cellar has been converted into a aging cellar, a friendly tasting place, full of freshness, where tools from the past and wines from the future come together.

A third of the Châteauneuf du Pape red production spends a year of aging in barrels, then the wines, assembled, are bottled in the cellar by a specialized company, guaranteeing quality and hygiene, and allowing precise control of operations.

Next, the bottles packed in boxes are stored in a climate-controlled room where they remain to age until they are sold.
