Maison Skyaasen

Maison Skyaasen. Established in Burgundy since 2017, Joachim and Olivia made their first vintage in the old cellar and vaulted cellars of their home. Building on this very successful first harvest, they produced two new vintages that we are proud to present to you today.

Joachim grew up in Norway and Olivia in San Francisco. They met in California while studying at the university. Joachim first worked in finance, while Olivia worked in humanitarian aid, which is still her main activity today.

This confidential microproduction is a true marvel. Their Pernand Vergelesses is an authentic finesse, while Pommard will appeal to Pommard lovers more oriented towards delicacy and elegance than rustic character.

All these splendid Pinot Noirs are vinified in the middle of the harvest, the simplest in the world, then they are aged in old barrels to avoid any mark of the wood. Joachim has chosen to work mostly sulfur-free this year, with the exception of Pommard, which received a small dose of So2. In this beautiful 2019 vintage, we find deep and perfectly balanced wines that should appeal to a large number of natural Pinot Noir lovers.

The only restriction: due to the small production, the quantities are limited so that many of you can take advantage of them.
